My Zero Waste Picnic Essentials

Well we have to say until next year to the summer here in Vienna, the weather cast is announcing drop in the temperature. But… that does not mean that we cannot enjoy the sun and the picnics in the park and all green areas in this city. It looks like it will be sunny this week.

Reason why I want to share what are are my zero waste essentials for picnics and share with you how easy is to be a zero waste plastic free and you have the strong will to help this planet which has giving us so much with amazing rivers, oceans, trees and animals. By the way I link my girl Jenny from the healthy blog who has a pair of recommendations where to picnic in beautiful Vienna, check them here.

Since I joined the #plasticfreejuly this summer I started to select and reorder slowly the must have’s for the whole year around and in seasons. If you give it a thought you might find that investing in couple essentials will give you more than fast use. Paper, cotton, glass and steel are part of this culture.

I carry around the basics; steal or glass bottle for water and/or green smoothies when I am all day in the city on the go with a lot to do and have to move from one place to another to another, yes I am petite and carrying these essentials could be not sassy as I would like to look but I prefer to be a conscious badass. I always carry my steal eco boxes for meals, fruits, salads, veggies, sushi or whatever is on the menu that day. I also carry a cotton towel and/or a light manduka mat for any spontaneous outdoor picnic adding some extra fitness, why not? I love Vienna parks full with active people, you might see acro yoga, martial arts, capoeira, stretching and any kind of movement next to a picnic space with a group of people. I also carry with me my last acquisition the keep cup for my coffee to go.

Zero Waste picnics essentials should not be complicated. Let’s enjoy the sunny days in our favourite parks. I am for sure enjoying any downtown beautiful park closet to any monkey bar ;). What is favorite park for a fitness picnic?

Btw, you will also find resistance bands on my picnic bag just in case I need to train on the go. I find the bands very convenient. Just saying 😛
