Recipe: Detox green soup

Because it is the detox season. But actually I find it interesting to do a detox session in between seasons. Sometimes we need to detox from food and from people. From our own toxic thoughts. Don’t you think? To sum that I found this great recipe that will help nourish the body and recharge the energy to keep going strong and fit.


When you put together broccoli, garlic, celery, lemon, and the right ingredients in a soup, it will nourish your body and soul. Because you get a nice feeling actually a healthy feeling that you have chosen the right food to support your soul and detox from the old. Purify your liver, your digestive system, lymphatic system and nervous system. This systems need to be clean and radiant to work properly.


2 tsp. of coconut oil
1 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, crushed
5 stems of coriander, finely chopped and leaves removed
1 celery stick, diced
1 Leek sliced
1⁄2 head broccoli, chopped
1 zucchini, chopped
1 L chicken stock
3 tbsp. cashews
1⁄4 tsp. sea salt
1⁄4 tsp. black pepper
Handful coriander leaves
Zest of half lemon


In a saucepan heat the coconut oil  and sauté onion 5 minutes until translucent.

Add in garlic, coriander, celery and leek, sauté for a further 3 minutes.

Add in broccoli, zucchini, chicken stock, cashews, sea salt, black pepper and simmer
for 15 minutes.

Place in blender and process until smooth. Serve in bowls and garnish with coriander cashews and lemon zest.

Happy healthy detox meal to you! Enjoy! Let me know how you liked the taste as well, I ask because I like normally broccoli but sometime its taste has ruled the soup. Some do not like coriander and that is fine, you can leave it aside and add some sour cream at the end or if you are like me, an avocado fan, I will add it as well. the leek gives always a really special taste that in my case I enjoy very much together with the lemon zest and the black pepper. You can spice it up as you like as well, just take care of the salt.
