Recipe: Gluten free chocolate dounuts

Finally I am writing down my gluten free chocolate donuts recipe. I have tried the recipe a lot before it became tasty and fluffy. To be honest, I haven’t post it because I lack of food styling skills and I know food has to look tasty, also because I do not know about you but if I cook or bake I eat it  as soon as it is ready, so normally I have my husband and dog looking at me waiting for the treats to be eaten right away, like this morning or every morning I make our traditional family pancakes. In this house we are pretty much hungry by the time a meal is prepared. There is no time for styling donuts, our belly just won’t let me do that. But somehow I finally managed to put some pics and show you how this delicious chocolate donuts without gluten are done.

The recipe is pretty easy,  ingredients to mix and blend. I tried almond flour at the beginning but I changed it for oatmeal flour and it worked perfectly. For the dry ingredients I use oatmeal, raw cacao powder, baking soda, hemp protein, maca powder, vanilla powder and carob powder. For the liquid ingredients I use egg whites, raw honey, raw milk or almond milk, natural yogurt and coconut oil. I make sure dry and liquid ingredients mix well before I put them together.

12 servings/ 12 donuts per serving

1 cup oatmeal flour

1 cup raw cacao

1/2 cup raw milk or almond milk

1/2 cup yogurt

1 Tsp maca powder

1 Tsp hemp protein powder

1/2 Tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp vanilla powder

1 Tsp coconut oil

1/2 cup egg whites

1/2 raw honey or maple syrup

When you have mixed and blend all ingredients heat your oven around 160 °C (325°F) you can warm it up a bit before. Bake for around 15-20 minutes, or when you kitchen starts to smell delicious and you pinch a donut with your fork or toothpick and is clean. Let me know how went your gluten free chocolate donuts recipe?
