Hi guys! Today I would like to share with you a tasty and healthy post workout recipe. Yes, it involves rucola (arugula) salad in your jar glass.
WHY YOU WANT TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR POST WORKOUT NUTRITION
Because the body needs to make up for the energy used in the workout, it needs to take care of the damage made and of course you want to increase your muscle and bone mass and quality. If you are an athlete or want to have an athletic body, you need to support your body for optimum performance, that means a fit body free of injury and ready to deliver.
NUTRIENTS THAT YOUR BODY NEED IN YOUR POST WORKOUT
Protein helps repair and build muscle, an adequate intake of protein gives the body the amino acids to repair and rebuild proteins. Studies show that you might need to consume between 20 to 40 grams protein to maximize the ability to recover.
Carbohydrates assist with recovery, an adequate intake of carbohydrates give the body the ability to replenish the used fuel during the workout. If your sport is endurance you can consume more carbs after your training, than a body building training. In case you train 3 times a week, then carbohydrates intake would be less important.
WHY RUCOLA (ARUGULA) IN YOUR POST WORKOUT NUTRITION
First of all, I know that rucola can taste bitter, but listen, bitter is healthy, why? Because it is full with vitamins and minerals, full of sun energy.
